Outside of his time investing, Peter is proud to serve as a non-profit board member to support communities he is passionate about: The Shed, The Studio Museum in Harlem, The New Museum, NEW INC, Code Nation, and the Harvard College Fund - Executive Committee. He grew up in New York City, where he graduated from Stuyvesant High School. in Applied Mathematics and a Secondary in Computer Science, with focus on Behavioral Economics & Network Theory. Prior to his time at GC, he worked for online education marketplace Skillshare, helped launch GoGirl Finance, worked in media at Bad Boy Entertainment, and co-founded two students groups while at Harvard: Harvard Ventures & HackHarvard. Through his work with universities, he supports a portfolio of over 275 early stage startups founded by students & recent graduates, including: Instabase, FreeWill, Spring Health, Ribbon Health, Snackpass, Parade, Fireflies, Reverie Labs, Getaway, Cobalt Robotics, LogRocket, Pavlov (acquired by Coinbase), and Legalist. In addition to his work at GC, he also co-founded & advises Rough Draft Ventures: a program to support technology entrepreneurship on college campuses. Description: Rough Draft Ventures is a student partnership that invests 5-25K into the most talented and driven student tech entrepreneurs in Boston. Since joining General Catalyst in 2013 as one of the first two investment professionals based in their NYC office, he has worked closely with portfolio companies including: Ro, Atom Finance, Hellosaurus, Clay, Summer, Macro, Cadre, Mark43, Outdoor Voices, Great Jones, Jet.com ( acquired by Walmart), Rebag, Major League Hacking, Wanderlog, and Workflow ( acquired by Apple). TigerLaunch judges have included successful startup founders and VCs such as Sequoia Capital and Rough Draft Ventures. Prior to Stellation, Peter spent eight years as a Partner at General Catalyst, a venture capital firm that invests in powerful, positive change that endures. Boyce II is the Founder & Managing Partner of Stellation Capital, an early stage venture capital firm headquartered in Brooklyn.
